Two artists, sharing both a studio and a life, exploring similar questions of color and light, yet each coming to the question in their own way, through differing media and with a distinct style and touch.
Yuzo Nakano presently creates boldly precise, mesmerizing geometric works and is one of the founders of Kala Art Institute which just celebrated its 50th year.
Kazuko Watanabe is known for her exquisite and meticulous multicolor printmaking. She has taught at both Kala Art Institute and UC Berkeley.
