Core’s Favorite Things – Small Works Show

Small prints and paintings and photos and sculptures. Mixed media and linocuts and jewelry and clothing. Holiday Parties where everyone sings; these are a few of Core’s Favorite Things!

Happy holiday fun! Core Art Space is having a Member Show of Small Works and a Party for the Holidays. However one pulls loved ones together: gatherings, gifts giving, sharing food and music. These are the things that make great memories. Celebrate Core’s Favorite Things with us; it is festive and that’s what counts. Core invites everyone to grab a cookie, join the party atmosphere, and check out our favorite things!

Reed’s favorite things are small prints, linocuts, collographs and serigraphs, and photographs.

Phyllis’s favorite things are vibrant, colorful landscape paintings of Colorado scenes.

Lisa’s Favorite things are the Sound of the Sun, acrylic paints, and a planetary exploration that starts with the sun, the center of our solar system, the generator of energy and gravity.

Chuck’s favorite things are assemblages, fabricated panels, inkjet, laser engraving, CnC routing, his computer, spontaneity, liveliness and joy.

Camie’s favorite things are mixed media collages; gelli prints; big, fun messes; and surprises that spark excitement.

The Core Annex will house an extension of Core’s Favorite Things. The Annex is available to rent for non-member shows. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

Events

First Friday, December 6 – Opening Reception and Clothing Sale with Mercer Place.

Mercer Place, located in Denver’s Platt Park neighborhood, is a casually chic boutique selling pre-owned clothes & accessories. The store’s proprietor, Lana Mercer, will be bringing the boutique to 40 West for a pop-up high-end clothing retail event

Holiday Party, December 15 – Core invites viewers to check out our Small Works Show, make an ornament, decorate a cookie, and drink hot chocolate. With live piano music and maybe some spontaneous carol singing.

Closing Reception, December 22 – Last minute shopping happens to the best of us. Join us for the closing of the show and some last minute fun!
