Ancestral Connections Exhibition — Call for Art Now Open

Ancestral Connections is organized by Southern California Womens Caucus for Art in partnership with Avenue 50 Studio. Working in a wide array of media, artists may draw on remembered places, spiritual practices, worldviews–even artistic traditions to express their concerns. Surprise us with your interpretations!
Artists are invited to submit two and three dimensional works in most media except video and installation. Works must be hand-delivered on Saturday, June 17th to Avenue 50 Studio in Highland Park. The show runs June 24-July 28th . Visit entrythingy for added details

Works will be selected by Chelo Montoya, Assistant Vice President of Adult Education and Public Programs at LACMA. She has an M.A. in Public Art Studies from USC and an MFA in Graphic Design from Otis College of Art & Design. She is the current chair of the California Arts Council.
