Explore the basics of paper cutting with multidisciplinary artist Sukanya Mani. This workshop explores the basics of this ancient craft step by step. You will learn specific skills and techniques to create your very own masterpiece. This workshop will be in partnership with Mai Family Services, a domestic and sexual violence service, and awareness-building organization.
Mani combines technique with discussions about awareness of violence and abusive behaviors and this will be reflected in the workshop. Her paper installations seek to highlight issues of Domestic Violence, educate the audience, and help prepare a new generation of leaders so that together we can better address the obstacles these individuals face with concrete strategies to move forward.
