“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance” – Aristotle

Throughout time and across most cultures, artists have created abstract art. It unfolds and reveals itself in time and layers, needing space to develop and grow. And artists have distinct views on the outer world that goes beyond the literal, and through non-objective art expression, the viewer obtains a glimpse into those innermost perceptions. We are looking for work that employs shapes, lines, forms and colors, freed from the necessity to optically reconstruct reality. While even the most formal non-objective art may suggest places or objects it is left to the viewer to interpret.
