Musketaquid Winter Solstice Celebration
The Old Manse
Dec. 21, 2021, 06:00 pm
After a hiatus during the pandemic, The Umbrella Arts & Environment Program and Trustees of Reservations have partnered once again to bring the traditional Musketaquid Winter Solstice celebration back to historic Concord!
With some COVID modifications, the ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 21 from 6-7:30PM outdoors on the side lawn at The Old Manse (269 Monument Street, Concord, MA) to celebrate the longest night of the year and welcome the return of the light! Due to COVID, the ceremony will forego S’mores and singing this year in favor of festive highlights including a Bonfire, drumming performance by the Drum Nomads, and a Solstice Ceremony at 6:30pm.
This event is FREE but registration is required due to limited capacity. For attendees who have pre-registered, parking will be available at The Old Manse and the Old North Bridge/Robbins House lot. However, parking is very limited! Please carpool or walk if at all possible.
In case of inclement weather, please check The Umbrella’s website and social media for updates.
