We are thrilled to announce Zamboada, Paulo Agi’s first solo exhibition, curated by Marina Schiesari, opening April 11th.

The show brings together a collection of recent oil paintings that explore the presence of Pantanal fauna in landscapes traversed by environmental tensions and human occupation.

Continuing his research on the landscapes of Mato Grosso do Sul, Agi articulates memory and imagination in the construction of scenes that evoke regional experiences and an affective dimension of the territory. Clouds, animals, and fields emerge as elements of an imaginary world that oscillates between the real and the fantastical.
