Melanie Delgado

Presented by Pinkwater Gallery

Melanie Delgado is a full-time artist who lives with her family near Woodstock New York. Her paintings have been described as explosive, wildly playful and bold… an apt description of her personality as well. Melanie started painting in her early 30s. While living in California, she met her now husband, musician Marc Delgado, who wondered why she wasn’t making any art of her own and set her up with a small studio as encouragement. Now she paints in her basement studio in Glenford, having first spent time painting at the Byrdcliffe Artists Colony. She discovered R&F pigment sticks while taking her one and only painting class at the Woodstock School of Art. Melanie feels her momentum and continued commitment to painting is a direct result of her connection to the community.
