NOW (temporary name) In this series, I tried to observe the times that live in. Now that everything we knew turned over, our society is more divided than ever, and social polarization is growing and escalating. I created pieces of vessels, decorations, and masks from the newspaper, in the "papier-mache", style and assembled them with a gold paste. The inspiration comes from the Japanese art - "Kintsugi", which is based on the "wabi-sabi" philosophy. This philosophy, a "ZEN" stream, adopts defects and imperfections. Fracture and repair in the "kinetic" method is another event in the life of the vessel. This approach symbolizes reconciliation and completion with failures and defects that occur over time. malka-inbal.com
