Now in its 54th year, Watercolor Wisconsin was started in 1966 to honor the depth and breadth of watercolor in the State of Wisconsin. This year’s show features 98 works by 78 Wisconsin artists.

Jurors for this year’s exhibition are Victor Armendariz and Kathy Weaver. Armendariz is founder of Gallery Victor Armendariz, Chicago, Illinois, which opened in 2017 and features contemporary art in a variety of media by an international stable of artists. Previously, Armendariz worked at Ann Nathan Gallery in Chicago, Illinois, where he represented thought-provoking figurative artwork, museum-quality works of realism, and studio furniture with exacting detail for two decades.

Weaver is a watercolor artist who has exhibited both nationally and internationally, including solo shows at Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois; the University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois; Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin; and the Evanston Arts Center, Evanston, Illinois. She is the recipient of an Illinois Arts Grant. Weaver received her MA from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio.
