Watercolor USA 2012 is a nationally known, annual juried exhibition recognizing aqueous media painting. Featuring some of the country’s best known artists and jurors, the event is open to artists from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Hundreds of entries are received annually and judged for a variety of prizes and possible purchase by the Museum or its patrons. Approximately $40,000 in cash, merchandise, patron and Springfield Art Museum purchase awards are available. Organized in 1962 by the Springfield Art Museum, this event attracts thousands of visitors annually to the Museum and to Springfield to view the work of exhibitors. The 2012 exhibit opens runs from 9 June through 5 August 2012.
