Marie-Hélène Beaudry:Marie-Helen Beaudry is a protein artist who has worked in a number of media, including photography, which is the case in her upcoming show. However, the artist has printed the images onto aluminum that gives the works the three-dimensional and tactile quality of sculpture. Beaudry always works in series with strong conceptual bases, and this series is perhaps the most intriguing of them all.
Maggie Ens:Ens takes an outsider’s delight in investing manic energy in fetishistic objects that make no concessions to polite artistic conventions. However, she does not try to hide the fact that she is a product of a sophisticated arts education. As wild and wooly as the works might be, most are presented in standard rectangular formats.
Koichi Teral:Terai’s art is sometimes simple and at other times highly complex, but a seriousness pervades all of it. The artist does not hide his hand in making the work and one senses his inquisitive mind at work as he experiments with ink, colors and combinations.
