It started in 1991 when the doors opened to the Warren Street Gallery located at 316 Warren Street in Hudson, NY. Carrie Haddad’s launch of this exhibition space was the first of its kind in the city and featured work by local artists. What began as an artist-run cop-op quickly became Haddad’s full-time profession when she relocated up the street to the gallery’s current home at 622 Warren Street. For the next three decades, Haddad highlighted an impressive stable of artists and fostered a devoted collector base in Hudson and beyond. Motivated by the belief that art is for everyone, a primary goal has been to create a welcoming place in the community to access it. To this day, you never quite know what you will see when you walk in the front door; oil paintings depicting local landscape views, grand scale installations, or darkly humorous photographs – the offerings reflect the rich variety of talent that is drawn to live and work in the Hudson Valley.

“Then and Now”, celebrating the 30th anniversary, opens August 4th – September 19th and pays special tribute to some of the first artists who exhibited with Carrie Haddad in the early 90s. This exhibit will juxtapose an early work with a more recent creation by each artist including David Halliday, Phyllis Palmer, Joy Taylor, Ann Getsinger, Peter Hoffman, Valerie Hammond, and others!

Our opening receptions were suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic. We miss offering the experience to meet and mingle with the artists and other art lovers and hope to resume this tradition in the summer with a BIG PARTY! Stay tuned for our updates by subscribing to our mailing list at www.carriehaddadgallery.com. Carrie Haddad Gallery is open day from 11-5pm (except Tuesdays by appointment only). Please contact [email protected] or call (518) 828-1915 with inquiries or for more information.
