Master carver William Schnute will be exhibiting his amazing high relief wood carving in the Art Museum. Much of Schunte’s work pays homage to the natural world. His carvings have remarkable depth, capturing plants and animals in realistic form and dynamic scenes. He specializes in elaborate naturalistic scenes covering large doors and architectural panels that sometimes take months to create. These elaborate creations are all made from solid blocks of wood and have been featured in Architectural Digest.
