An exhibition of artwork by senior students at Lyme Academy College runs from April 14 through May 19, Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the College’s Chauncey Stillman and Sill House galleries. The exhibition is free and open to the public; all are welcome. As the culmination of their program of study, all senior students at the College participate in the Senior Studio. This year long, capstone experience allows students to develop a body of work that reflects their individual interests, skills and aesthetic sensibilities. Students conceive their own project and — with ongoing support and input from the faculty and their student peers ̶ execute and present it within a set amount of time. The Senior Studio Exhibition 2012 reflects the culmination of the project. Sally Seaman, Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean at Lyme Academy College, comments, “We always look forward to this exhibition. The Senior Studio experience leads students to synthesize and apply all they have learned, giving us the opportunity to witness and celebrate their unique creative voices.” The College gratefully acknowledges the generous support of Outthink, Smith Insurance, Inc., and Shepherd, Finkelman, Miller & Shah, LLP for this exhibition.
