The museum’s first exhibit in 2015 features ceramic installations by Allison Newsome and Nancy Selvage. The exhibit is being held in conjunction with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) 49th annual conference in Providence. Collaborators with Ms. Newsome’s project are Martha Antaya, Don Betts, John Vierbickas and the Somerset Historical Society, which loaned a collection of historic ceramic crocks exemplifying the region’s production of ceramics dating as far back as the 1600s. Gallery hours are from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday to Sunday.
The gallery also is open during the NCECA conference from March 25 to 28, with additional hours from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 23 and 24 and from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 25. A reception is from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 27.
