Science in Surrealism is the first exhibition devoted to artists who engaged with the scientific advances of the early twentieth century, especially those related to quantum physics. The exhibition, which opens May 16 and will be on view through August 1, includes oils by Victor Brauner, Max Ernst, Marcel Jean, Matta, Gordon Onslow Ford, Wolfgang Paalen, Kurt Seligmann, and Yves Tanguy, as well as rare works on paper by František Janoušek. On Saturday, May 16 at 2PM, scholar Gavin Parkinson from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London will present a talk at the gallery, followed by the opening reception from 3–5PM.
