The Artists Loft, located in Old Oakland is seeking local Bay Area Artists to exhibit their work in a one-weekend exhibit, scheduled to open on Friday, May 18, 2018. This exhibit will be a collaborative project showcasing various mediums including painting, metal work, sculpture, photography, movement, charcoal, jewelry, three-dimensional work, etc.

The topic for this evocative and introspective exhibit is “Reflection”. You will consider what your reflection (figuratively or literally) conveys about you. Submissions must adhere to this topic, and each piece of work must be priced at $300 or less.

Within these parameters, your art is open to your artistic interpretation. What do you see when you look at yourself? Who are you? What do you stand for? How have your actions or art influence or impacted your community? These questions and more are up for discussion as you explore how you visualize yourself.

Interested artists should email The Artists Loft at [email protected] by March 19, 2018. Provide your full name, mailing address, phone number, email address and jpegs of up to six (6) pieces of work that you would like to be considered for the exhibit. Include the name of the work, medium, dimensions (matted and framed) and sale price. Please ensure that your information is accurate and complete.

Unfinished works of art that are not ready for formal submission may be considered. Artists must contact The Artists Loft by COB March 19, 2018 for consideration.

Note: Artists may be required to bring samples of work to The Artists Loft for view prior to them being accepted for this exhibit. The Artists Loft reserves the right to select pieces of work to be exhibited in this show.
