Pastel Invitational
Ten pastel artists from Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts are featured this month at the Spring Bull Gallery in Newport from November 1st to November 30th, 2014 for an invitational exhibit.
Pastels are a combination of chalk, pigment and binder. These ingredients are used to produce a stick or a block. They come in a variety of colors and shades within a color. They can be pasty or translucent in texture,and used alone or in combination with other mediums. We have invited: Rick Cardoza, Kendra Ferreira, Sarah Feilding-Gunn, Janet Gendreau, Diane L’Heureux, Priscilla Malone, Kelly Milukas, Evelyn Rhodes, Susan Starkweather, and Jean Tangney to show the diversity and techniques that can be achieved with this medium.
