Andrea Rosen Gallery is pleased to present a three-person show of Michael St. John, Borna Sammak and Martha Rosler that investigates transition, transformation, documentation and representation. Taking city as site, while all artists look to and pull from the urban and cultural landscape, they each hold completely unique territories and trajectories of their own. Here, the juxtaposition of three artists, of distinct bodies of work, is about perceiving each more deeply and reading into each in a more complex way through differentiation, rather than similarity. Presented together, the works reveal something more significant about the world in which we live as well as the political and social climate of our time.
