Gallery Seven, 116 North Chicago Street, Joliet, is excited to exhibit the paintings of Claudia Craemer. The exhibit runs April 6th to May 4th with a reception for the artist on Saturday, April 9th, 6-8 P.M. All are invited to the free reception. Meet the artist; see stunning art while sipping on a bit of the vine.

“Metaphor” is Ms. Craemer’s latest work of abstract oil paintings. Her work is more about brain and heart and breathing patterns than preconceived structures. It’s usually about intuition and an organic response to light and space and movement.

“The reasons I paint have changed over time. My recent work is more about unfolding secrets through paint, searching for clues before the canvas; the act of discovering how the forms might arrange themselves to symbolize the process of my knowing something I may have not have known before.”

Claudia Craemer is a member of Union Street Gallery in Chicago Heights where she is a Resident Studio Artist and Tall Grass Arts Association in Park Forest. She has exhibited for over twenty-five years all across Illinois and Indiana, also serving as curator for many local galleries.

Gallery Seven is honored to exhibit artists from Illinois and beyond. With the closing of the Illinois State Museums, we are delighted to keep our doors open and free to the public for an opportunity to view some amazing art.

“Metaphor” is on exhibit from April 6th to May 4th. Stop by Gallery Seven to view these extraordinary works of art. And don’t forget to attend the reception on the 9th, 6-8 P.M.

Gallery Seven is managed by a group of local artists, located at 116 N. Chicago St., Suite 102, next to the Historic Rialto Square Theatre, downtown Joliet. This free gallery is open to the public 10-4, Monday to Friday, and 10-noon the first Saturday of the Month. All exhibited work at Gallery Seven is for sale.
