Thirty objects from the Meadows Museum’s permanent collection of Spanish art, SMU’s Master of Fine Arts Collection, and its University Art Collection explore how artists intentionally challenge the limits of their materials.
Works by John Chamberlain, Helen Escobedo, Alberto Giacometti, Jim Love, Pablo Picasso, and Ruffino Tamayo, among others, will encourage viewers to expand their own understanding of the relationship between matter and meaning.
