Andrea Rosen Gallery is delighted to present new sculptural and photographic works by Matt Keegan with a signature totemic column by the late minimalist Anne Truitt (1921-2004). Contained within the lattice of Keegan’s etched 4×8 foot Sheetrock panel walls, his work together with Truitt’s, generates a profound dialogue centered on tactility through focused and subtle material decisions. Continuing to explore the legibility of material, Keegan’s steel sculptures and framed works make visible the act of translation from template to form, rendered through various modes of fabrication. Together with Truitt, this pairing of trajectories hatches a sensuous investigation of surface and form that summon a decelerated mode of looking.
