Walker Fine Art and Art + Soul are excited to present a solo exhibition of local artist Laura Guese. Since it’s opening in 2000, Art + Soul has evolved into Boulder’s foremost gallery for contemporary fine art and designer jewelry. With its convenient location just a half block off Boulder’s Pearl Street pedestrian mall, Art + Soul has been consistently recognized as “Boulder’s Best Gallery” by various local sources.

Laura Guese, a represented artist with Walker Fine Art, will be showcasing a solo exhibition of her oil paintings from November, 22nd 2019 through January 12, 2020 at Art + Soul. In this hectic, fast-paced world, Guese searches for simple moments of peace. She is intrigued by the idea of being away from it all, lost in a place of hopeful tranquility. Guese finds honesty and authenticity by creating her work from a feeling, or an image in her mind’s eye; envisioning the viewer in a peaceful dreamlike setting, away from worries and anxieties, in a landscape of brilliance and promise. Her layered cloud-scapes of soft color inspire a surrealist vibe, all the while maintaining a softness and luminescence that will transcend you from the unavoidable chaos that life can sometimes present.

An artist reception will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, 1-4 pm at 1505 Pearl Street in Boulder, CO. The reception is free and open to the public.
