Nancy Selvage simultaneously embraces the creative energy of Spring and recoils from the devastating horror emanating from the daily news. Fabrication materials for this exhibition include perforated metal, paint, polycarbonate, mirrored mylar, light, clay, and shrink wrapping.
Kelman’s solo exhibition merges abstracted images of water – rivers, lakes, clouds and ice – with industrial and architectural structures. Kelman crafts “skins” by resist-dyeing silk or netting cordage, integrating them with skeletal frameworks of bamboo, wood or wire.
