Modern culture imbues ancient objects with meaning whether intended by that civilization or misconstrued through interpretation. Myers work adopts the lexicon of
these ancient objects and redefines them to create a new dialog. This reinterpretation embeds new meaning into ancient forms and symbols creating ceramic sculptures that have a fictitious function within a contemporary
social context.
