Madison collaborative artists, Simone and Max, have reimagined the cooler as a secure area on the 6th floor of the City-County building in downtown Madison, providing visitors a glimpse into the invisibilized experiences of children subject to carceral treatment on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Roughly 1000 Dane County youth pass through this space each year, some as young as ten years-old. Using stereoscopic photographs the viewer will feel immersed in the experience of a youth correctional facility dayroom.
