Link & Pin Gallery presents GO FIGURE featuring six Austin figurative painters. Artists J. C. Amorrortu, Lawrence Jolly, Meena Matocha, Rhea Pettit, Kristi Standley, and Linda Wandt may have different styles (from loose, alla prima to detailed realism), but all works tell a story. Amorrortu’s surreal figures, Jolly’s “real people,” Matocha’s haunting charcoal portraits, Pettit’s “bodyscapes,” Standley’s colorful portraits, and Wandt’s symbolic figures make for an exhibition of interesting, colorful, thought-provoking characters.
