Boston Sculptor’s Gallery presents Cori Champagne: Water Mgmt, featuring a new series of functional garments addressing our most precious resource. Intended to navigate shifting hydrological cycles, Champagne’s hand-made clothing resembles streetwear. Zwart’s exhibition draws inspiration from the unlikely pairing of the heroic figure of Joan of Arc and the ancient, tenacious horseshoe crab. Today, horseshoe crabs are still at war with humans who use them as bait and harvest them for their blood. Both were and continue to be sacrificed—one for the survival of her kingdom and the other for the preservation of humanity
