In celebration of the National Park’s 100th Anniversary, Peters Valley School of Craft is hosting a special exhibition, Botanification, in the Sally D. Franciscso Gallery October 23-November 15, 2015. An Opening Reception will be held October 30th from 5-8pm with an Artists’ Talk at 6:30.

Botanification showcases the photography of Mitzi Campbell and 3D printing design and technology of Darlene Farris-LaBar to provide a close up and personal look at some of the indigenous plant life of the Delaware Water Gap Region. The exhibit allows people to be inspired by models and photos of a sampling of the beautiful and essential plants that propagate our natural world so that they may consider the importance of plants they may have otherwise overlooked. The exhibit draws awareness to form, color and significance and connects people with nature prompting meaningful interaction that can be translated to authentic experiences with botanicals in the wild. The historic Eve’s Herbarium, on loan from the Pocono Environmental Education Center, accompanies the exhibit and shows actual samples of the plant life preserved in a vintage botanical collection.
