The Martine Chaisson Gallery invites you to meet photographer and installation artist, Adrien Broom, for a cocktail reception on September 9th, 2017 from 6pm to 9pm.

Ms. Broom is fascinated by the contrast between childhood and adult imagination and her work explores a balance between the two. For the exhibition titled ‘Being’, Adrien lived and worked in a largely abandoned 18th Century English manor. As the largest private estate in England, it’s endless empty hallways and abandoned rooms juxtaposed with lavish forgotten spaces and a historical grandeur provided Broom the perfect setting to allow her inspiration to wander freely. Over the weeks spent there,Adrien constructed glowing dresses composed of thousands of mini LED lights and staged dreamlike scenarios that explore one’s connection to the feminine self, and the importance/struggle to trust one’s own intuition.
