Smithtown Township Arts Council is pleased to announce Animals in Art – Our Partners on the Planet, a Juried Fine Art Exhibition at the Mills Pond House Gallery, 660 Route 25A, Saint James. The exhibit opens Saturday, July 30 at 2 pm and continues through Sunday, August 28. The public is invited to an opening reception on Saturday, July 30, 2-4 pm to meet the participating artists and view their work. Juror Tim Newton selected 55 works in a variety of media including Pencil & Ink, Pastel, Mixed Media, Bronze, Acrylic, Oil, Watercolor and Clay. The 39 artists included hail from 16 states and 11 are from Long Island. Prize winners will be announced on opening day. Mills Pond Gallery hours are: Wednesday through Friday 10 am – 4 pm and Saturday and Sunday 12 pm – 4 pm. Admission to the Gallery is free.
