Smithtown Township Arts Council is pleased to announce its 35th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition at the Mills Pond House Gallery, 660 Route 25A, Saint James. The exhibit opens Saturday, September 24 at 2 pm and continues through Sunday, October 23. The public is invited to an opening reception on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2-4 pm to meet the participating artists and view their work. Judge/Juror Lisa Elmaleh selected 49 works in a variety of photographic media for her exhibit theme Home: a place you are from, or a place you have moved to. Home can be found in the face of a loved one, or an object you find comfort in. The 27 selected artists included hail from 7 states and 12 are from Long Island. Prize winners will be announced on opening day. Mills Pond Gallery hours are: Wednesday through Friday 10 am – 4 pm and Saturday and Sunday 12 pm – 4 pm. Admission to the Gallery is free.
