Engraving is an ancient metalworking craft that has been used for almost 600 years to make intaglio prints. Working directly with the burin into the copper, participants can create complete images without the use of solvents or etchants, and explore a new range of marks for intaglio printing. This workshop will cover tool sharpening, transfer of images to plates, engraving methods, discussion of linear systems and special printing requirements
Experience with printmaking required.
