Join us for a screening of the documentary Under the Great Oak from director Michael Reynolds. This film celebrates the life of the oldest white oak in America, which stood on the grounds of the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church for six hundred years. The Center is hosting two screenings on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Each screening will be followed by an informative panel discussion moderated by Dana Reynolds, the documentary’s Executive Producer. The panel includes Sean Kirby, Dr. Tom Ombrello, Michael Reynolds, Gordon Thomas Ward and Sue Zibelli. Attendees will also be treated to a live performance by Gordon Thomas Ward, whose song “Trees” is featured in the film.

Screening times are 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 each.

The Center for Contemporary Art and the filmmakers will donate the net proceeds from the screenings to support Dr. Ombrello’s Historic Tree Grove at the Union County College campus.
