Emmanuel Fremin Gallery is proud to present Steve Schlackman’s unique way of seeing Cuba, through a series of grainy black and white photographs, Steve’s signature style, taken in the course of a few years. Steve is a lawyer by profession and a photographer by choice. His latest series depict Havana’s cityscapes from 2011 on, bringing visibility to, among other subjects, a group of Santeria musicians, whose practice incorporates “La Clave” – a rhythmic pattern used in Lucumi religious rituals.
