Please join us for Second Friday – a virtual program that explores works of art from the Museum’s diverse collection with an engaging thematic approach. Each session – held on the second Friday of the month – will be hosted live, through Zoom at 3 p.m., followed by a Q&A.

This program highlights a selection of photographs of New York City throughout the 20th century from the 1930s to 2000s, focusing on the built environment including images of architecture and transportation. Varying perspectives, types of buildings and vantage points will be discussed as well as biographical information about the photographers. Artists from the Hofstra University Museum of Art’s collection such as Dorothy Norman, Andreas Feininger, Garry Winograd and Marilyn Bridges are featured.
