Taubman Museum of Art presents the work and story of Jean Helion’s extraordinary life as a painter. As a significant part of the modernist movement, Helion began his career in Paris creating Abstract art. He was also deeply connected to his Virginia roots and influence of the area.

As an important artist of modernism, Helion influenced others who struggled between abstract and modernism.
