Boca Raton Museum of Art presents POLITICS NOT AS USUAL: Quilts with Something to Say. The exhibition displays the unique American art form with centuries of traditions. The origins of this American Folk art, began with random textiles that evolved into an art form and eventually an industry.
The quality of these quilts and preservation of rare materials is unparalleled in presentation and bridges the gap between fine art and folk craft. The American Quilts exhibition also marks the first opportunity for viewers to see the 9/11 National Tribute Quilt outside of the American Folk Art Museum in New York City.
