This class focuses on direct observational portrait painting from a live model. The course emphasizes “seeing”, simplifying, and the importance of beginning a painting well. We will discuss color as it relates to skin tones and better understand how to achieve a “likeness” of the sitter. Open to the beginner as well as the advanced painter.
