Peter DeCamp Haines’ exhibits “Teddy Bears Picnic”, used as a themesong for “Big John and Sparky” a half-hour Saturday morning radio program which seven-year-old Haines routinely listened to. Now, more than sixty years later, the impressions made by that strangest of children’s songs have bubbled up into a narrative artwork. Haines use of the Teddy Bear image is a sculptural exploration of these befriended childhood demons.
Leslie Wilcox exhibits “Loathables” Icons of Misbehavior I Love to Hate.
