OUT OF THE BOX, an exhibition showcasing the work of fine artists who “break out” of the rectangular canvas, sculpt unique objects or shoot photographs of unexpected subjects opens at Spectrum Art Gallery and Artisans Store (August 22 – September 28) at 61 Main Street, Centerbrook, Connecticut. A Reception, open to the public to meet artists and enjoy wine and hors d’ouevres is Friday, August 22nd from 6:30-9pm. And on Saturday, September 13, Origami in the Gallery will be held from 11:30-1:30pm, $2 for materials and open to all, no experience required. Spectrum is the newest expansion of the non-profit arts organization Arts Center Killingworth, whose mission includes providing opportunities for emerging and established artists to display and sell their work.
