Michael-Louis Smith & Friends: Take A Step Back
The Music of Jerry Garcia & The Grateful Dead

On Saturday, October 5 Carriage Barn Arts Center is hosting another rousing evening of live music featuring Michael-Louis Smith and his band Take A Step Back performing the music of Jerry Garcia & The Grateful Dead. Smith will be joined by Marcus John Schlegel III on keys, electric bass virtuoso Mike Roninson, and Dave Berger on drums.
Presented by DEANE and New Canaan Music, the group will cover songs like Eyes of The World, That’s What Love Will Make You Do, Sugaree and many more.

New Canaan guitarist Michael-Louis Smith is a bandleader and recording artist who tours nationally at venues such as LA’s Troubadour Club, NYC’s Apollo Theater and Vermont’s Discovery Jazz Festival. Doors open at 7:30pm and live music from 8-10pm. $20 advance tickets are for sale at https://carriagebarn.org/garcia/. Tickets are $25 at the door. Guests (21 & over) may also sample Caledonia Spirits’ Barr Hill gin and vodka cocktails and beer from Alchemist Brewery.

The concert takes place during the Carriage Barn Art Center’s annual member show, and exhibit of 160 works by member artists. The exhibit runs through October 11 and gallery is open Wed-Sat 10am-3pm and Sundays 1-5pm.
