Gallery North is pleased to present Local Color: Flora and Fauna, an exhibition which explores the textures and colors of Long Island. Focusing on details of familiar landscapes, with particular attention to animals and plant life, artists will interpret local scenes. The painters and photographers in this exhibit showcase the natural beauty of Long Island’s sea and sky, woods and fields, as well as the animals and beautiful gardens of the area.
Featured will be: Kelynn Alder, Gina Altadonna, Joan Branca, Nancy Bueti-Randall, Robi Cavagnaro, Pat DiCalogero, Jeff Foster, Ray Germann, Liz Kolligs, Bruce Lieberman, John Mansueto, Muriel Musarra, Lauren Rosenblum, Joseph Rotella, Peter Scheer, Susan Tango, Annemarie Waugh, Marlene Weinstein, Felicitas Wetter.
As in the past, a section of this exhibit will be reserved for the varied work of students from Stony Brook University who are recipients of the Virginia Fuller award on behalf of Gallery North. These students are selected from those who participated in the URECA exhibit at the end of this past semester. The artists
featured will be: Erin Brady, Sarah Choi, Yoselin Gallegos, Cameron Makarkian, Maria Plotkina, Samantha Tracy, Rebecca Walsh
Gallery North is open Tuesday – Saturday 10 – 5 and Sunday 12 – 5.
