First Street Gallery Affiliate Artist Jane Shoenfeld will be reading from her new poetry book, Petals in the Tunnel, which includes images of her art as well as poems that have been published in a number of literary magazines. Jane is also a licensed art therapist in Santa Fe, NM, and both her art and poetry incorporate psychological “deep image” perspectives.

NEA Fellow Donald Levering will be reading from his forthcoming 16thpoetry book, Breaking Down Familiar. This book explores addiction, dementia, and dying through a compassionate poetic perspective. Donald is the winner of the Tor House Robinson Jeffers Award Prize, the Carve Poetry Prize, and the Literal Latté Poetry Award. His work has been featured on Garrison Keillor’s Writer’s Almanac podcast.

The 2021 Affiliates Show, which includes Shoenfeld’s art, will be on display during the reading. Light refreshments will be served.
