John Hurley has been a member of the Norwalk Symphony since 1976, and Jan van den Berg, a recent addition to the group, came from the Netherlands where he was the founding member of the Bourdon Wind Quintet. Danielle Stopek has performed with several quintets and orchestras throughout New York City, including Broadway Bach Ensemble, New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, One World Symphony, and with the Amore Opera in their prodcutions of the Marriage of Figaro, Barber of Seville, La Traviata, and La Boheme.

They will perform Pastoral by Vincent Persichetti, and Aires Tropicales by Paquito D’Rivera: Alborada, Son, Habanera, Vals Venezolano, Contradanza, Afro. Then after a short intermission they will finish up their concert with Quintet for Winds by August Klughardt: Allegro non troppo and Allegro vivace, Mississippi Five by Jim Parker; King Oliver Steps Out, Blues for Johnny Dobbs, The River Queen, Le Tombeau De Bessie Smith, and Les Animaux.
