Richard Oelze (1900–1980) a student of Walter Gropius and one of the first in the German Bauhaus movement, was also considered on the countries first important Surrealist.
Eventually his work was lost to obscurity in the US and throughout Europe. This exhibition takes a second look at his appeal in the 1930’s through the 1950’s.
