Join Sarah Alexander and Tatiana Flis as they discuss their show Scarcely Awake at Fountain Street Fine Art in Framingham, MA. In addition, sound artist Todd Bowser will perform site specific sound manipulation.

The show highlights a variety of each artist’s work, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed-media installation, and centers on the notion of the in-between. Alexander’s and Flis’ work carry similar themes of time, movement, and the subconscious, while walking the fine line between reality and the imagined.

Todd Bowser combines field recordings and improvisations into sprawling sonic experiments in tape and digital audio. Rooted in decaying gadgets acquired over twenty years of music-making, his work combines primitive home recording techniques with digital manipulation in open source software environments.
