Closing Awards Event & Art Pick-Up:
Please join us for the Closing Awards Event with Congressman Seth Moulton Saturday, March 7, 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Montserrat College of Art’s 301 Cabot Street Gallery, Beverly. All participants must make arrangements to take their artwork with them at the conclusion of the closing awards event.

The award winners will receive varying amounts of scholarship to Montserrat’s Summer Pre-College Program and the U.S. Postal Service will provide students with the option of having their artwork displayed at their local post office.

At the conclusion of the exhibition, the artwork of the Grand Award Winner will be sent to the U.S. Capitol Building where it will be displayed for one year with the work of other award winners from across the country. The winner from each district, accompanied by one adult, will be invited to attend the opening of that exhibition in Washington, D.C. to be scheduled for a date in June.

Since 1982, more than 650,000 high school students around the nation have participated in the Congressional Art Competition. It is an opportunity for members of Congress to acknowledge the artistic talents of their young constituents and for the artwork of the district’s most gifted students to be showcased on the national stage.
