Public lecture by Chitra Ganesh, 2015-16 Estelle Lebowitz Endowed Visiting Artist in Residence, and reception to honor the artist. Ganesh is a Brooklyn based artist whose drawing, mixed media, and text based works draw imagery from a broad range of references spanning from Hindu, Greek, and Buddhist mythology, to 19th century European portraiture and fairytales to contemporary cultural references. She is the recipient of a number of residences and her works have been exhibited internationally as well as across the US.
